The party that is champion in corruption is also champion in looting stones and sand before coming to power: Rafiqul Islam Khan

Desk Report:

A party that has been a champion in corruption for 5 consecutive years has now become a champion in looting stones and sand before coming to power, said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami‘s Assistant Secretary General Rafiqul Islam Khan. He said that the party has become the owner of the country after August 5.

Rafiqul Islam Khan said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Dhaka-6 all-level Ulama-Mashaykh gathering organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Jamaat at Zahir Raihan Cultural Center in Gendaria, the capital, on Saturday (September 27). He said, “The party that has been a champion in corruption for 5 consecutive years has now become a champion in looting stones and sand before coming to power. They have become the owner of the country after August 5. The people are seeing who is committing looting, extortion, and terrorism all over the country. The people will boycott terrorism, extortion, corruption, and looting through votes. If voters can vote fairly in the next election, there will be a silent revolution in favor of Islam.’

The Jamaat leader further said, ‘Although the entire nation is happy with the prospect of the unity of the scholars, one party could not be happy. Because they know that if the Islamic parties unite, the people will reject them with hatred.’

Questioning why those who want to implement the July Charter after coming to power object to its implementation now, Rafiqul Islam Khan said, this means that the party is once again trying to play politics of deceiving the people. While all parties have taken a stand in favor of the legal basis of the July Charter, one party has taken a stand against it. Those who do not want to give the July Charter a legal basis deny the July Revolution. If they deny the July Revolution, they will have to suffer the same consequences as the Awami League.

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General AHM Abdul Halim, Bangladesh Majlisul Mufassirin Central President Abdul Hamid, and Khatib of Kataban Jame Mosque Dr. also spoke at the rally. Rafiqur Rahman Madani, Nayeb-e-Amir of Khilafat Majlis Ahmed Ali Qasemi, Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Movement Mufti Fakhrul Islam, among others.
